The marketing calendar for restaurants is packed this April, and this year Holy Week, a festival worthy of veneration in the south of the peninsula and a source of passion in the rest of the country, fits entirely within this month.
Thus, many of the restaurant promotions we propose for the month that welcomes spring are related to the increase in tourists that hospitality and catering establishments perceive during these special dates.
Of course, to fill the gaps and to ensure that our premises are fully booked for as many April meals as possible, here are some other suggestions:
Sant Jordi, Book Day and other related celebrations
On the penultimate weekend of the month, the WhatsApp Number Database squares and avenues of the main Spanish cities are decorated with marquees full of books. From the most exotic nineteenth-century portfolios to best-sellers fresh from the presses, these days books are the stars .
The 23rd is the epicentre of all this bibliophile revelry, a date that also coincides with the celebration of Sant Jordi in Catalonia , which in recent years has become a real sensation. Remember, it is traditional to give a rose and a book .
Restaurateurs can take advantage of this holiday in many different ways, but the most common are those that involve discounts on meals when bringing a book (preferably if it has been recently purchased at a local bookstore) or, on the contrary, a bonus coupon after paying the receipt, which allows us to obtain a discount when buying a book at a nearby establishment.

Of course, it is also possible to expand the range of products sold by the restaurant. By having a small collection of books, a vase of roses to offer to diners or prepaid cards to buy the most popular novels in our trusted hypermarkets, you can make more money.
Needless to say, this is just a guide. Success lies in the imagination . Organising an evening for your local book club or circle? That could be a good idea… Organising a literary competition? Why not… Public readings or presentations of new works? It's always interesting!
In addition, April 2 is International Children's Book Day , April 4 is National School Bookstore Day in the United States, April 11 is Bookmobile Day (also in the US), and three days later is National Library Archivists Day. The 23rd is also the day to recognize copyright, and the following Tuesday is the day to recognize intellectual property. There are also three celebrations dedicated to languages during this month: one on the 19th and two on the 23rd.
